A little finish and some cuddles

Only just getting back into the swing of sewing after my fabulous holiday and I have completed this little foxy quilt for a friend at work who is about to have her first baby in a few weeks time.  Rachael was a bit of a challenge as we do not know if its a little boy or girl, and she only likes neutrals and muted tones - nothing too busy.

I am so pleased that I found these lovely fabrics, and backed the quilt in super soft minky in a lovely shade of latte.

My other little adventure these past few weeks has seen me playing with scraps and I came up with a cute little tote bag.  I sent a pic to Homespun magazine and they said "yes please" so I cant share a pic, you will have to wait to see it in print.  Now to get down to some pattern writing, lucky I made notes as I stitched it.

I have made a promise to myself to work only on UFO's for the rest of the year so you should see some finishes coming through in the next couple of months.  The only exception being that my daughter has asked me to make some cushions for grand daughter Willows nursery, how can any Nana say no to that!

Here is the latest pic of my darling daughter Sheree cuddling Willow, so cute and snugly.
