FMQUILTING and a little visit.

I had a little accident this week when I was " in the zone" doing my FMQuilting on my tapestry quilt. I stitched right through my thumb, in one side and out the other. My thumb went blue, and has been super sensitive and I can only really just use it again now.
Here is the reverse of the quilt showing then leaf pattern that I did all over.

I have also managed to get a second swoon block made, they are just so pretty.

But I didn't get a lot done last night as look who came for a visit and decided to have a sleep over. Jack got cold in the early hours of the morning and joined us in our bed.

  1. oh ouch, thinking of you sewing through your thumb makes my toes curl. I think the fmq stitching is gorgeous though.

  4. Yikes! What did the doc say? How did you get the needle out? Ouch, ouch, ouch! The FMQ looks great, but I think we need to get you some chain mail gloves, like the butchers wear!
As a parent with small people who repeatedly visit in the early hours...yes cute, but so glad they did it at Grandma's house, so Mummy got some sleep! Although Grandma might need sleep to get over her injury? Personally I would have needed pain killers that put me to sleep, I am such a wimp!
